Course Category: r_WTC3 - Overhead Network

NZQA: 10509, 17025, 23229

WTC3 is designed for telecommunications workers and contractors who need to safely access electrical structures and undertake work on overhead network infrastructure.

Besafe Training’s WTC3 course is structured to align with the Work Type Competency requirements associated with overhead telecommunications network work, including pole access, working at height, electrical hazards and emergency rescue.

The course combines practical pole climbing and work-at-height skills with the knowledge required to recognise and manage hazards associated with working around electricity network structures. Learners develop competency in inspecting and preparing structures for access, selecting and using appropriate fall-protection equipment, maintaining safe working practices around electrical infrastructure, and responding to an emergency involving a worker on a pole or structure.
