NZQA: 19207

The Confined Space Infrastructure Industry course is available online or delivered in the classroom by one of our experienced tutors, with on-job evidence required. We ensure our training meets specific learning and industry needs of students in a safe and supported environment. This includes a practical component of a full confined space entry scenario which can be achieved during the training. You will be required to provide evidence of one on-job entry under real workplace conditions.

You will demonstrate that you are able to (in the infrastructure industry):
• Identify the location and work procedures to be carried out for the entry
• Review an entry plan
• Enter, complete work and withdraw from a confined space
• Conduct a non-entry confined space rescue

NZQA: No modules

The Confined Space Refresher is available online or delivered in the classroom by one of our experienced tutors. For those current in the industry, the Confined Space Refresher provides verification of currency (evidence confirming your competency in this area for your type of work). Note that this is refreshing NZQA unit standards that you have already completed in this area. It can be completed in your own time, at your own pace. An assessor will verify your competency in this area at the completion of this course.

To be able to complete the online module, you will be required to provide evidence of your involvement in confined space work. Evidence may be photos, JSA, Task Analysis etc and must link you to the work. COVERS STAGE 1, 2 and 3

This includes a practical component of atmospheric/gas testing and a full confined space entry scenario. Our interactive session provides you with the fundamentals relating to working in a confined space. Learn about the requirements for safe work in confined spaces. This course will provide you with the ability to use breathing apparatus safely when needing to work under force feed (compressed) air. The course includes practical activities in our simulated confined space to ensure your confidence and competency.

NZQA: 25044

This is a hands-on practical course where learners will be physically testing and using their breathing apparatus. Learners will go through a practical session where they will be required to complete scenarios using their BA. Note that those taking this course will need to be physically fit and clean-shaven. Specific fitness requirements include: Strength, Stamina, Agility, Determination, Health and Age. If a wearer has doubts about their capability due to one of these fitness factors the other members of the BA team must be made aware of this immediately. This course will provide you with the ability to use breathing apparatus safely when needing to work under force feed (compressed) air.

Our expert trainings deliver a practical, interactive course (performing gas testing) with a range of gas testing equipment. This course is intended for people working as boiler operators and energy and chemical process operators in an energy and chemical plant. People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate knowledge of gas testing and related hazards in the energy and chemical industry; perform gas tests; and interpret and respond to gas test results, in an energy and chemical plant.
