Course Information
We provide Permit Receiver training aligned with NZQA Unit Standard 17588 – Apply for, accept, and carry out work according to a work permit in the workplace.
This course equips you with the knowledge and practical experience required to understand and work within a Permit to Work (PTW) system. You’ll learn to recognise when a work permit is needed, how to apply for and accept a permit, and how to safely carry out work under that permit.
Training follows the Permit to Work Manual and prepares attendees to work confidently alongside permit issuers, ensuring workplace safety and compliance with industry standards. Through hands-on exercises and simulated permit activities, you will gain practical experience completing Hot Work 1, Hot Work 2, and Cold Work permits through to issue and close-out.
