Mobile elevating work platforms (EWPs) are useful but complex pieces of equipment. They are a crucial part of many work sites, providing a safe and easy way for workers to reach heights, often in hazardous areas. According to the OHS safety requirements, employers must provide workers with the necessary training to ensure safe working conditions. This includes training for operating an elevating work platform, which is why our mobile elevated working platform training courses are so important.
People have been seriously injured and killed in accidents involving MEWPs, so whether you’ve spent years using these machines or are completely new to them, it’s essential you know how to operate them correctly. Employers must provide information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to ensure the health and safety of employees at work.
Independent EWP – Elevated Working Platform – Training training courses in Auckland
At BeSafe Training, we cater to different skill levels and types of EWPs. The courses provide the knowledge and skills needed to operate EWPs effectively and safely in different working environments. Our courses include a combination of classroom learning and practical training.
Online, face-to-face and practical exercises
Through a series of practical exercises where you will apply and test your knowledge of hazards, risk management and operational skills, you will gain the knowledge and hands on experience to ensure that you understand your responsibilities and have the skills to safely operate the Mobile Elevated Working Platform (MEWP).
Our courses ensure you understand the relevant guidelines, regulations and codes of practice to safely assess and operate a MEWP. They will also help duty holders, such as employers, employees, principals, designers and manufacturers, hirers and suppliers engaged in work associated with MEWPs meet their obligations under the Health and Safety in Employment Act.
MEWP training courses to suit
We can provide the course in a number of ways: your online Mobile Elevated Working Platform Operator course will be followed by a practical session or the full course will be taught by one of our experienced tutors.
The practical session can either be at our training centre in Auckland or we can go to your company if you have a number of trainees enrolled and the relevant machinery.
