Electrical Supply Industry Safety – Refresher
This course will refresh your foundational safety competencies required to work on the Chorus network. Our experienced tutor will help you stay up to date with health and safety knowledge and use of personal protective equipment in the electricity supply environment are able to identify electricity systems.
It is recommended to complete a refresher course every 2 years to maintain competency and keep up to date with any changes.
Unit Standards Refreshed:
10508 – Identify electricity systems in preparation for work. ( 6 credits )
18038 – Demonstrate knowledge of and apply health and safety in the electricity supply environment. ( 5 credits )
10507 – Use personal protection equipment within an electricity supply environment. ( 4 credits )
12300 – Demonstrate knowledge of electricity industry safety statutes and codes – NZECP 34 & SM-EI ( 6 credits )
The pre-requisite for WTC1 is:
- Current First Aid NZQA Unit Standards 6401, 6402 or 26551, 26552
